Created by Congress and now a subcommittee of the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) in the Executive Office of the President, the Interagency Arctic Research Policy Committee (IARPC) plays a critical role in advancing scientific knowledge and understanding of the changing Arctic through research planning. IARPC exercises this role through coordination across 14 Federal agencies and collaboration with outside collaborators through its implementation structure—IARPC Collaborations.
